Use of aeromagnetic data for structural mapping of the Tlemcen Mountains (northwestern Algeria)

In order to refine the geological mapping and improve our knowledge of Tlemcen Mountains structure (northwestern Algeria), interpretation aeromagnetic data using several processing techniques allowed us map Paleozoic basement Rhar Roubane sedimentary cover constituted by formations Mesozoic Cenozoic age. Structurally, are formed structures (e.g., Sebdou Graben), separated three major transverse faults NNE-SSW (Tafna-Magoura, Oued Chouly Aïn Tellout faults). We have also been able highlight a set deep shallower structures, trending mainly in NE-SW, N-S, E-W, affect western part (Rhar Horst) south-eastern Mountains.
